🐾Our story begins in Bangor, Pennsylvania, where we both grew up with a shared love for animals and strong family values. A few years ago, we followed our hearts and made the move to Bradenton, Florida — a place that has always felt like home

For Shanna, Florida holds lifelong meaning. As a little girl, she spent family vacations on Anna Maria Island, creating memories that stayed with her into adulthood. Growing up with a cat and two Yorkies, her love for animals started early and never faded. Caring for animals has always been her passion, and she truly believes this is her calling ✨♥️🐾

Michael grew up surrounded by animals as well — from Beagles and an English Mastiff to even a few farm animals along the way. His love for dogs runs deep. Professionally, Michael is a licensed realtor with Wagner Realty, trusted daily in clients’ homes and with important legal documents. That same responsibility, reliability, and integrity carry over into how we care for your pets and your home

A huge part of our journey has been adopting our two greyhounds, Risky and Chance. Risky is a 9-year-old retired racing greyhound from Sanford, Florida, rescued through the Poconos Greyhound Adoption group. Chance is an 8-year-old retired racer from West Virginia, rescued through Friends of New Jersey Greyhound Adoption. After everything they gave on the track, we felt Florida was the perfect place for them to enjoy a peaceful, loving retirement — in the same special place we chose to call home ❤️

Together, we created Paws in Paradise to provide loving, dependable care for pets of all kinds. We know your pets are family, and we treat every animal as if they were our own — with patience, compassion, and genuine love.
